Transition Town Peterborough’s 7th Annual Purple Onion Festival’s Sun Stage Entertainment in Millenium Park 11am to 4pm.

Sunday, September 24th, 2017 is fast approaching! It is that time of the year once again, where Transition Town Peterborough are celebrating their 7th Annual Purple Onion Festival. Come one and all and GET YOUR PURPLE ON. Enjoy the all-ages event in support of local food, farmers, restaurants, and artists. Sun Stage, hosted by Festival MC Michael Bell and assisted by yours truly, has fantastic entertainment once again that will keep you dancing and singing from 11 am to 4 pm, so see you at Millenium Park. 12-1255pm, Born and raised in Lakefield, Hillary Dumoulin graduated from Lakefield District Secondary School, upped and headed west to Canmore, Alberta where she performed a lot and even got her original music lots of airplay.  She moved back to Peterborough where she calls home, bringing with her a world of experience.  She performs regularly locally thru Ontario and this singer songwriter is a Peterborough favorite whether solo or duo, and is  excited to bring her talents to the acoustic Sun Stage.

Michaela Hetherington, is a local singer/song writer from Peterborough Ontario.  Michaela, has been performing for over 7 years and has an abundance of original material.   She has performed in many different local venues and has competed in competitions such as Shelter Valley Songwriters Showcase and Havelock Country Jamboree Showcase. Michaela also plays a strong role in the Peterborough LIVE Music Festival.   She is currently attending Queen’s University for Music and Education while also beginning work on her first EP with Echo Recording which she hopes to release in early 2018.

HIGH WATERS DUO consists of guitarists and vocalists Mike Kidd and Jeremy James from the Peterborough party band, High Waters Band. They will get you up and movin’, mixing the old with the new making for a magical brew. 3/4 aged whiskey and 1/4 fresh groove gives, you a powerful cocktail.
