Opening up a business during a lockdown? Why not try opening two!

That’s exactly what Robert Brunsch, General Manager of Sparq retail is doing! At the end of December 2020, Sparq retail opened up to the Peterborough community as a safe, all-inclusive dispensary that strives to provide friendly and professional service that is based on education about cannabis. They started off offering just delivery and curbside and finally on February 16 they were able to safely open their doors to the public. “Since then, it’s been go go go, and we wouldn’t be where we are if it wasn’t for the Peterborough community choosing to support a locally owned retail store.” Says Robert. So, as if it isn’t difficult enough to open up one business during a lock down, his team is going for 2!

On April 15th they announced the opening of their second location on Lansdowne St. which has been under construction next to the Popeyes for the last couple months; rumour also has it they are getting ready to open up a third location in the North end! “We want to make sure people don’t have to go far to get quality service and reliable products.”

“Our goal is to provide Peterborough and the surrounding area with unbeatable service, a space where everyone feels welcome and safe, and the comfort that they are receiving information that is reliable and rooted in education.” Says Joel the Charlotte St. location store manager.

Their new location will have its virtual grand opening event via Instagram and Facebook on Monday April 19th, 2021. They will be open just in time to ensure those who celebrate the famous 420 cannabis holiday are fully stocked up with their favourite brands!

Stay tuned for information about their in-person grand opening event once businesses are safe to fully open up again.
