27 AUGUST, 2019 (TORONTO, ON) – Today, CCMA award-winning and JUNO nominated country duo, The Reklaws, released their newest body of work, their highly anticipated album, Freshman Year, via Universal Music Canada, the country’s leading music company. Listen to Freshman YearHERE.
The 11-song album introduces audiences to three new songs including the new single,”Old Country Soul,” along with smash hits and fan favourites the #1 single ”Feels Like That,” “Long Live The Night” the theme song for Thursday Night Football on TSN and the inspirational “I Do Too,” co-written by Brad Rempel of High Valley, and Nashville heavy-weight Ben Stennis. Freshman Year comes after a whirlwind summer for the singer-songwriters performed at festivals across Canada and supported global superstars Florida Georgia Line in June at the RBC Canadian Open in Ancaster, ON and most recently Toby Keith in Dawson Creek, BC.
The Reklaws (Walker spelled backwards) who grew up on their family farm in rural Ontario have had a momentous 2019 and highlights include completing a headlining tour as well as earning their first JUNO nomination for Country Album of The Year and performing at the legendary awards show. Next up for the brother sister pair are the 2019 CCMA Awards in Calgary, AB where they are nominated for four awards; Album Of The Year, Group or Duo Of The Year, Video Of The Year and Apple Music Fans’ Choice.
