Mb Speaks: August 2020

Mb Speaks

It’s been month’s since I’ve written anything. Not since March, as a matter of fact. I haven’t been sure what I’d have to say. While many have been wiped out due to Covid, I’m a lucky one. I’ve only lost business. Others have lost loved ones or their own lives. So I’m not going to feel sorry for myself, or whine and complain. People have been asking, “Mb when’s The Wire coming back?” Truth is, I don’t know. If it does, it will be under the direction of someone else as the new publisher. I had some bites just before the Corona took us all out at the knees, and I’ll have to wait and see what the future brings. 30 years at its helm is enough. I’ve lost my energy and mojo. Speaking of mojo, my music career is also on hold, at least the live shows. March 7, The Bowie Lives sold out the Oshawa Regent Theatre. 600 seats. We had a 20 date theatre tour planned for the fall. Two weeks later, we’re locked down. Now I’m working on a similar tour for the fall of 2021. That’s a long way away. Hope I can still do it! As someone once said, these are interesting times we’re living in. Keep the faith. Mb
